How Can Your Group Obtain a Speaker?
Your group can request a speaker at least three weeks in advance of the speaking engagement. This allows time for scheduling and preparation.
There is no fee charged to have a Master Gardener speak at your function. To schedule a speaker for your next meeting or conference please contact:
The Master Gardeners of the Ozarks at the Stone County Extension Office, 417.357.6812.
What is the Speakers Bureau all About?
As one of the educational activities of the
Master Gardeners of the Ozarks, the
speakers bureau is an effort to provide ed-
ucational activities to the community.
Master Gardeners sign up for various
presentations that they are knowledgeable
in and willing to share with others.
Master Gardeners are volunteers of the
University of Missouri who have been
trained to conduct horticultural educa-
tional programs in their communities
Groups who would like to have a Master
Gardener present horticultural infor-
mation often include civic groups, garden
clubs, schools, nursing homes, community
centers and many more.
Requests are generally for informal
presentations lasting 20 to 60 minutes
