planting, caring, transplanting, dividing, and forcing. See the
beautiful photos from the trip to Holland to visit the “tulip garden of
the world”, Keukenhof Gardens which is known for its worldrenowned
eight-week tulip display from mid-March to mid-May.
“A Year in the Life of a Beehive”
Caroline Griesemer, Master Gardener and Beekeeper from Springfield, MO
The fascinating life cycle of the honey bee is explored in this
presentation. Basic beekeeping techniques are explained with
peeks inside the hive of this complex organism.
“The Art of Gardening, Monet Style”
Gale McRoberts – Johnson County Extension Master Gardener
Claude Monet transformed the art world by infusing paintings with
color and light. Did you know that he transformed garden design as
well? Join us for a Master Gardener presentation on The Art of
Gardening Monet Style – an inspiring presentation on the unique
blending of the artist’s style with his garden design elements. Learn
how a nationally recognized Monet Garden came to be in Overland
Park. Experience a morsel of Giverny, France right here in the Ozarks.
“Floating Wetlands-Taking Gardening to the Pond”

In this presentation, explore using floating wetlands to improve the
water quality of local lakes and water retention areas.
“Gardening with Mushrooms and Fungi”
Nathan Osborn, Master Gardener of Greene County
Learn about the utilization of mychorrizal fungi in the home
garden and also the colonization of mushroom producing fungus.
