Library Center of the Ozarks – Free Garden Classes
Library Center of the Ozarks at 200 South 4th Street in Branson, joins the Master Gardeners of the Ozarks for free monthly garden classes. All programs are presented by Master Gardeners. Presentations are scheduled for 10:30 AM and will be approximately one hour in length.
March 25 – “Hummingbird Habits” – The hummingbirds will be arriving soon. Learn about their migration, feeding habits & favorite plants with photos and behavioral videos.

April 22 “Seed Starting” – It’s not too late to start seeds for your summer vegetables and flowers. Learn how to grow from seeds and transplant directly to your garden.

July 22 “A Year in the Life of a Beehive” – The fascinating life cycle of the honey bee is explored in this presentation. Basic beekeeping techniques are explained with peeks inside the hive of this complex organism.

September 23 “Preserving Garden Herbs” – As the growing season comes to an end, learn how to harvest, prep and dry the most common herbs for use all year long.

October 28 “Making A Xeriscape Garden” – Learn how to transform a troublesome area from rock and clay by means of Xeriscaping. Xeriscape is a type of landscaping that uses a minimal amount of water to thrive. It is designed specifically for areas that are susceptible to drought.
